Annotation on reverse giving legal opinion of Richard W Greene and Henry Joy, Attorney General. Observes ‘Hewit is a Protestant and Burke a Catholic, and it was supposed that their dispute was a religious one’, but states that as Burke has refused to prosecute the case, he has been committed to gaol and will be dismissed from the police force. |
