Emphasises both his subsequent ill health following his exertions on the loyalist side, and his loss of property at the hands of the rebels, 'in consequence of my being a Magistrate zealous for Government….I was indeed a sufferer by my loyalty', 10 May 1819.

Letter from Mark Anthony, Dunmore harbour, County Waterford, harbour master at Dunmore, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, requesting clarification on the terms of the Dunmore Harbour Act 1818 (58 Geo. 3) c.72, in relation to duties imposed on potatoes arriving by ship at Dunmore. Notes that at the port of Waterford the potato is free from duties and emphasises the 'considerable scarcity' of the potato in the Dunmore area at present. Annotation by Gregory records that the Act makes '...no exemption for Potatoes'.

Letter from Messrs Allen and Green, secretaries to the Pipe Water Committee, City Assembly House, [South] William Street, Dublin, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, defending the right of the Dublin Corporation to continue to appropriate £2,500 per year from the pipe water rents, to support the Corporation's chief magistrate, recorder, town clerks, and other officials. Notes that the Corporation's right to the tolls and customs of Dublin city, as well as this portion of the water rents, is essential to its financial survival. Encloses a report on the extent of metal pipes laid in Dublin city as a result of the Metal Main Act of 1809.
