Encloses second letter from Browne with report on local incident of disorder: he states ‘an invasion of Roscommon Rebels…came into the Village of Ballyhaunis in Mayo on our border. They were about four Hundred in number, mounted, badly armed. They swore the inhabitants of this village, took any fire arms they could find, this happened early on night of 28th November’. |
