Includes lack of lamps lighting parts of the prison, including the privies, which are 'in a wretched offensive state', and the poor supply of water to the bath, resulting in no bathing, 13 February 1821. Also letter from William Logan, 40 Mecklenburgh [Railway] Street, Dublin, inspector to Four Courts marshalsea, Dublin, to Gregory, responding, as requested, to the claims in Morris' letter, emphasising the ongoing vandalism to anything which is repaired, 27 February 1821. |
