States that 'All the Fuel consumed in that part of the County is procured from the Commons, & has been so from Time immemorial, & all the Neighbouring Land Owners send their Cattle to graze there'. Encloses letter from William Blacker and John Richards, Waterford, land owners in the area, to Grant, on the crown's plans to lease the commons at Bantry, 'alleged to be Crown Lands', 18 September 1821. Also letter from William Saurin, Attorney General of Ireland, Flood Hall, County Kilkenny, to Grant, stating, as requested, his opinion on subject, 21 September 1821. |
