Letter from Richard Willcocks, Limerick, County Limerick, chief police magistrate for County Limerick, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, reporting on further convictions at the Limerick Special Commission, including that of Timothy Shea, for stealing a horse and 'joining the Whiteboys'. Also reports the execution of McNamara and Malony. Also reports information received, that he and Major George Warburton are blamed for bringing this 'Bloody Commission' to Limerick, and that their lives are therefore in danger, 19 December 1821. Encloses copy of affidavit of Reverend Philip Cleary, parish priest of Ballybricken, County Limerick [affidavit states county as Tipperary], sworn before Willcocks, 19 December 1821, reporting an attempted attack on him by several men, at the chapel at Ballybricken. States the names of those involved.

Reports that no Counsel was employed by the prisoners, and that [Daniel] O'Connell did not attend.

Resolutions refer to a 'Tumultuous Spirit' and 'disposition to riot' in the parish of Drumraney, County Westmeath, and their intent to apply to government for the parish to be included in the peace preservation act in operation in Kilkenny West.

Letter from Francis Woodley, Frankfort, County Cork, near Tallow, County Waterford, magistrate, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, concerning a threatening notice posted in village of Conna, County Cork, warning anyone who pays or collects tithes, and threatening any landlord who does not reduce rents by sixty percent. States that he has advised his son, Francis George, a high constable of the barony of Kinnatalloon, to collect the county cess immediately. Expresses hope that the majority of farmers remain 'well affected'.
