Concerns the malicious burning of property and turf clamps, including that of Robert Going. Letter from Sir George Henry Rose, Berlin, Germany, Envoy Extraordinary to Munich and Berlin, to Chief Secretary's Office, Dublin Castle, concerning the case of Michael Connelly [sic], also known as Michael Karmelli, an exiled rebel from County Galway since 1798, currently residing in Halle, Germany, and his possible claims on an inheritance in Ireland, 26 April 1821. Also letter from Major Thomas D'Arcy, St. Clerans, County Galway, chief magistrate of police in County Galway, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, responding, as requested, with information respecting Rose's query, and stating that Connelly would appear to have been misinformed or deceived, and that his relatives are 'all miserably poor', 26 May 1821. Also copies of 2 letters of reply from Charles Grant, Chief Secretary, Dublin Castle, informing him of the inquiries into Connelly's case; 9 May; 5 June 1821.
