States that he had received a sessions decree against Pat Morony, the illegitimate son of Thomas Morony, but he was later assaulted and robbed of this document by Pat Morony. Claims he then tried to make a statement against Pat Morony to Thomas Morony in his capacity as magistrate, but was refused, and when he attempted to bring the case to Mr Carroll, magistrate and barrister for County Clare, he was threatened to leave Miltown Malbay as Thomas Morony’s tenants would ‘have his life’. Annotation on reverse giving legal opinion of Richard W Greene. |
