In light of the nature of his marriage, Warburton requests that Montford be transferred to another barony. Annotation on reverse signed by Richard Wellesley, Lord Lieutenant, stating that this ‘appears to be rather a harsh measure unless absolutely necessary’. |

Letter from 7 commissioners of the Board of Health Wexford, to unknown recipient, relating to fever epidemic in the area. Indicates that there are currently 82 patients in the hospital; the disease had taken on a more malignant aspect; and that an unprecedented number of deaths had occurred in the last month, averaging at approximately 1 in 10 patients. Expresses disappointment that their expenses had not yet been paid, and encloses 3 expenditure accounts for Wexford Fever Hospital for the week ending [23] Feb 1827, relating to work carried out by Michael Howlin, carpenter, to repair the roof, and the service of Elizabeth Gale, the housekeeper. Accounts signed by GN [Harrison] Reade, Mayor of Wexford. Annotation on reverse giving legal opinion of Richard W Greene. Also includes expenditure account for hospital for week ending 23 March 1827 relating to household expenses, signed by Gale and Reade. |
