Correspondence between Charles W Flint, Irish Office, London [England] and William Gregory, [Under Secretary, Dublin Castle], marginally referring certain parliamentary bills currently under discussion, but mostly regarding applications from Timothy Molloy; enclosing three letters and a memorial from Molloy, 15 Sparrow Corner, Minories, London, to Hugh Percy, 3rd Duke Northumberland, [Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Dublin] and William Gregory, [Under Secretary, Dublin Castle], referring to his bringing certain conspirators in Dublin to justice, complaining that despite a promise for a position by Mr Studdert, police magistrate, he was only offered that of a lowly policeman in London. One of Molloy’s letters is also signed Michael Kelly, both asking for legal redress; one of Flint’s letters refers to another man named Webb who has been provided for. [See also CSO/RP/1830/1884.]
