Also, a letter from [Col] W Blacker, Carrick, post town Portadown [County Armagh], to Gregory, with news of a meeting against high rents which mentioned Hamilton, as also Mr Handcock, agent to Mr Brownlow; referring to an attack in 1772 on [] Johnston, Gilford, [County Armagh], to a certain Brown, Waringstown, [County Down], and to James Foote, [Banville]. D’Arcy further comments on the lack of policemen for further reinforcements.
