Also covering letter from [John Vesey, 2nd Viscount] de Vesci, Abbeyleix, [Queen's County], to Sir William Gosset, [Under Secretary], observing that many magistrates will decline to act again when their commissions expire due to fees being demanded; stating that the payment of stipendiary magistrates might cause great difficulty; adding that expenses for items such as the new jail, lunatic asylum and police force are placing an unpopular burden on the population.
