Also, enclosing a memorial from six inhabitants of Clonoe, County Tyrone, complaining about the seizure of their arms which they held for defence against ‘unlawful banditties’, pointing to recent gangs of marauding Orangemen who in one incident shot one of their own number by mistake, a certain Patterson.
