Stipulates that his transferal to post at new gaol was intended by the magistrate of the police for ‘that they gave me Possession of the Ground that surrounds it which I have Occupied and Cultivated for two years past and have mov’d my Furniture into the Apartment intended for the Governor or Keeper of the New Bridewell with the approbation of Mr [Francis] Johnston the Architect’. |
