Letter from Board of Ordnance, Ordnance office, Dublin, to Charles Grant, Chief Secretary, Dublin Castle, providing information on amount of gunpowder supplied to Robert Grubb at contract price, for the blasting of stones to construct pier at Dunmore, County Waterford, since 1817. States that they have not yet received any payment, and have thus stopped the supply. Signed by William Fyers, Henry Rogers, Robert Coleman, and Abraham Mills, officers of Board of Ordnance, 27 January 1819. Also letter from Robert Grubb, Clonmel, County Tipperary, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, on the subject, and stating that he had forwarded the claim for payment to Mr Lees, 11 February 1819.

Letter from J Orr, Angel Inn, St Clements, London, to Charles Grant, Chief Secretary, Dublin Castle, 23 January 1819, enclosing copy of letter from Orr to Robert Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh, foreign secretary, referring to execution of Orr's father, the United Irishman William Orr, at Carrickfergus, County Antrim in 1797, and the sufferings of his family since then. Describes the subsequent destruction of their property and possessions by Antrim town yeomanry in 1798. Requests that he and his brother be compensated for the material losses suffered, since they were in no way involved in 'treasonable conspiracies', 18 January 1819.

Encloses resolution of meeting of magistrates in town of Kilfinane, barony of Coshlea, County Limerick, chaired by Oliver. Requests that detachment of police be sent to the barony to assist with law and order. Refers to nightly meetings, large numbers of armed men attending fairs, and attacks on baronial constables.
