Letter from William Logan, 40 Mecklenburgh [Railway] Street, Dublin, inspector of Four Courts Marshalsea, Dublin, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, enclosing petition of William Patterson, prisoner in Four Courts, requesting to be placed on bread list, 4 March 1819. In reference to the petition, Logan notes that he cannot recommend that Patterson be placed on the bread list any more than other eligible prisoners. Suggests, however, that he may be given the hospital allowance whilst in ill health, 9 March 1819. Also encloses list of the 14 prisoners in Four Courts marshalsea currently on bread list, week ending 6 March 1819. Signed by Logan. |
