Letter from Rear Admiral Sir Josias Rowley, onboard HMS 'Spencer', Cork harbour, commander in chief on coast of Ireland, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, stating that he has received the command of Earl Talbot, Lord Lieutenant, to order a river cruiser to be ready to act as convoy to a convict ship travelling from Dublin to Cork, carrying 120 male convicts. States he has ordered the 'Mosquidobit', or the 'Shamrock' to carry out the task.

Also states that agent of the convict ship disobeyed Montgomery's orders, 12 April 1819.
