Includes memorandum prepared for Chief Secretary's Office, Dublin Castle, on Prendergast stating that, 'This person certainly fled from justice in 98 & returned to join the insurgents on the landing of Genl. Humbert at Killala & after that went and secreted himself in the Wilds of Connemara & was proclaimed as a Murderer…', [October 1820]. Also petition of Prendergast to Earl Talbot, Lord Lieutenant, Dublin Castle, requesting a pardon, 'being heartily sorry for the Irreligious and disloyal part he had acted', [January 1821]. |
