Letter from N Brady [probably Nicholas Brady, carver and gilder], 43 Dame Street, Dublin, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, requesting government's permission to obtain a small quantity of Irish gold from a mine in County Wicklow, in order to complete a set of commemorative Irish medals he is producing to present to King George IV on his visit to Ireland. Also memorandum from Chief Secretary's Office official dated 21 July 1821, stating that Brady is to call with Gregory, on the matter.

Letter from Charles O'Doherty, 12 May Street, Dublin, to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, 17 July 1821, enclosing petition of John Balfour of Culdaff, barony of Inishowen, County Donegal, to Earl Talbot, Lord Lieutenant, Dublin Castle. Balfour requests payment of a reward never received by his father, George Balfour, for his contribution to the capture of a criminal wanted for murder in 1816, for which a reward was offered. States that his father was murdered in revenge soon after the criminal's trial and execution. Truth of petition certified by Robert Young, magistrate of County Donegal.
