Claiming that he was forcibly ejected from his house by Francis Waldron and his men having being granted permission to do so by magistrates at the Petty Sessions at Clogher. Stating that he held the property from the late Vaughan Waldron of Ashfort for 17 years and that Col Clayde of Rockfield and the Rev Dean of Elphin would allow him a fair trial.

Warning that the ‘office of Constable should not be degraded in the estimation of the People’. Noting that Caughlon was not convicted at Philipstown [Daingean] assizes. Seeking a reply to an earlier petition and noting that he served as a sergeant in the 87th Regiment of Foot.
