Encloses copy of an address by Fitzgerald, 'To the disturbers of the Peace of the County of Limerick', which he proposes posting in the area. Address warns of the consequences of further unrest, referring to potato crop failures, rents and tithes, and urging a surrender of firearms, 5 November 1821. |

Notes that whilst the unrest began out of local circumstances, 'quite exempt from Political or Religious Motives', this may not continue to be the case. Expresses concern at the robbery of firearms by 'nightly Insurgents', recalling the events of the 1798 rebellion. Also urges a total suspension in the sale of gunpowder and the deployment of the yeomanry to settle the disturbances. |
