Encloses copy of letter from Major William Walker, 5th Dragoon Guards, Dundalk, to Lieutenant Colonel Grove, Dublin, reporting on Ribbon activity in vicinity of Dundalk, and on military support provided to a local magistrate making arrests, 28 November 1821. Also encloses copy of a return detailing the instances of when parties of the detachment of the 2nd battalion Rifle Brigade stationed at Maryborough, were called out to assist the civil powers, between 25 October 1821 and 24 November 1821.
