File of papers relating to application of Charles Farrell to obtain passage to New South Wales, Australia. Encloses certificate of recommendation from his parish priest James Magauran of Lemanaghan; and also encloses a letter from Edmund Armstrong, Gallen, to Robert James Enright Mooney, Doon, King's County, magistrate, concerning Devery's committal to jail, 'upon a charge which I do not think it possible he can have been guilty, 30 January 1823; the same letter is also annotated by Edward Cox, Clara House, Clara, King's County, magistrate, referring to Devery as honest and industrious.
