File of papers relating to funding for proposed construction of a new stone bridge over the River Blackwater at Cappoquin, County Waterford; details protracted negotiations concerning the provision of funds for the work, in particular, the contribution from government, from funds set aside for public works, and the contribution required by government to be raised by county grand jury presentment. File includes memorandum by Chief Secretary's Office, Dublin Castle, entitled 'Cappoquin Bridge', concerning the content of a letter dated 22 September 1823, from Goulburn to Richard Power, foreman of the County Waterford grand jury, clarifying the government's position on the sum to be provided by government for the work required.
