SCOPE & CONTENT: |

Discusses his offer of giving information on Timothy Cotter, who is accused of the murder of Mr Brereton, a mail coach agent, and also on Sheehan. Admits that Ready has ‘a point of Law in his favour’ and requests to be informed if his application for passage to America should be complied with, 23 January 1825. Also additional letter from Barrington to Gregory, enclosing another from Robert Stevelly, Six Clerk’s Office, Court of Chancery, King’s Inn Quay, Dublin, recommending acceptance of Ready’s terms and of giving him assistance to travel Philadelphia, where his brother presently lives, 16 August 1824. |
