Letter from Dr Francis Barker, secretary, General Board of Health, [Dublin], to William Gregory, Under Secretary, referring to enclosed letter from Henry William Hardy, register, Kevin Street Fever Hospital, [Dublin], to Gregory relating to an order by the Board of Health to evacuate of the hospital, and enquiring how its bedding, furniture and utensils are to be disposed of, prior to ‘the surrender of the premises.’ Barker states that the items should be moved to the commissariat Stores, providing that they are well cleaned ‘by washing, and then fully exposed to the open air during five or six days’.
