States that his father left behind property to the amount of £1000 to be divided among his 4 children, Charles, Esther, Jane and himself; he has furnished the relevant birth certificates, as well as the marriage certificate of his parents, to Mr Walsh, Prussian Consul, 37 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin, but has heard nothing since; and that he is eager to settle the case as his uncle, the town surgeon in Driesen, is also making a claim on the property. |

Explains that on the night of 12 February 1828, his boat was set alight in the harbour, which cost the life of ‘one of the unfortunate Crew, consumed to ashes’, as well as a considerable amount of property, and fearing a reoccurrence, moved the boat for safety. |
