Also letter from George Warburton, Castlegar, [County Galway], to Francis Leveson Gower, Chief Secretary, enclosing minutes of evidence taken before the magistrates at Ballymote and decision of the magistrates [extant] which concluded that there were no grounds for charges against the police and that the letter of complaint was actually from a sub constable named Kennedy who was motivated by vindictive feelings; recommending that Kennedy be dismissed. Including annotation noting that Kennedy is to be dismissed. |
