Report from Isaac Ambrose Eccles, William Acton and William Revell, committee of superintendence, Wicklow Gaol, County Wicklow, indicating no particular deficiencies have been discovered at the prison in response to a complaint from Colonel William Whaley. Concludes that particular discomforts protested against by Whaley during his detention arose ‘out of the local circumstances of the Prison and has been therefore unavoidable’ and adds ‘no improper orders have at any time been given to the Gaoler and that no blame whatever appears to attach to any officer connected with the Prison’.

Also letter from Armstrong to Goulburn, seeking copy of warrant of appointment for the union of Cloyne, Cork and Ross. Also copy letter from Goulburn to the Lord Bishop of Cork and Ross [Thomas St Lawrence], Bishop’s Palace, Cork, confirming that Armstrong is entitle to arrears of salary from the period of official appointment in May 1823.
