Also letters from [William Smith], Sub-Inspector, Rathkeale, [County Limerick], to Maj William Miller [Inspector General], Fermoy, [County Cork], and from Miller to Gower, justifying their decision against such police escorts; with Smith offering additional information on Mr Dickson, and on Massy not releasing sub-constable [Boyne] from duty in his house.
