Including letter from Maj D’Arcy, [Inspector General], Holly Hill, Strabane, [County Tyrone], with an enclosure from [Lieut] EA Douglas, [Chief Constable], Ballybay, [County Monaghan], to William Gregory, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, recommending both men’s suspension; four memorials and other letters from McNally to Hugh Percy, 3rd Duke Northumberland [Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Dublin], enclosing also a supporting statement by Maxwell [] Boyle, magistrate, Cootehill quarter sessions, [County Cavan]; a memorial from Johnston to Percy, with supporting signatures from eighteen inhabitants of Ballybay.
