Also includes letter from [Thomas] Orde Lees, prosecretary, General Post Office, [Dublin], to William Gregory, [Under Secretary, Dublin Castle], stating that the postmaster at Newcastle was asked by Darby Scanlons’ family to refuse to pay him because he was of unsound mind; having received government’s orders he will now pay Darby.
